If he is using a Sound Blaster card, it could very well be his audio driver that is causing the problem.  Most integrated audio solutions have decent Vista drivers since they did a lot of stuff in software to begin with.  Then again, it could just be a crappy mike.&lt;br /&gt;

I&#039;ll be switching over to Vista when I get my new laptop in a couple of months.  Until then, I won&#039;t be able to speak from personal experience.&lt;br /&gt;
