Bowling Night
Whoa, had a great time tonight. Went bowling with CIA. This event is normally planned to try to get freshmen into the organization. However, tonight, not a single freshman showed up! Didn’t bother me too much. I was riding to the alley with Geoff, who was following Jason. Unfortunately, Jason didn’t seem to have a clue where he was going, and he was the one who planned this event. We ended up driving in a huge circle and probably added fifteen minutes to the drive time. The rest of the group was a little peeved when we got there since they had to wait so long on us.
I had asked everyone in my lane and the neighboring one not to laugh too hard at me since I was not that good. Know what happened on my first roll? I rolled a beautiful strike, big curve on the ball and all. Needless to say, I got a few nasty looks. Next two frames, spares. Then I started playing like myself again and started throwing gutter balls. At one point, six in a row. I finished the game with a 75. Next game, my woes continued. I bowled a horrible, ugly 34. Out of the twenty times that I rolled the ball, I made contact with the pins only four times! For the last game, I decided to change my technique a little. I rolled a personal best of 115! I was feeling pretty good about myself until I looked over at the screen in Jimmy D’s lane to see that he had bowled a 175! Ben even got a turkey and Jason came within a pin of getting one himself. I guess that I’ll just sit back and enjoy the fact that I have bowled the best game of my life.
